Hello everyone,
I've been snooping around the site for a while waiting for my account to be activated and already have learned alot. I recently aquired myself a '71 M461. It has been sitting in the back lot of a local business for a really long time. My mother used to do the books for them when I was a kid and I remember playing around on it while she was working. A little while ago I drove past the business and caught the aro out of the corner of my eye, I went in and started talking about it with the owner. He said it had been sitting for so long he was'nt sure what it would be worth. We eventually made a deal, I would rebuild the motor in his '80 chev pickup and he would give me the aro. FREE . Once we got the Aro to my place I imediatly started to work on it. Its amazing how easy they are to work on. within 4 hours I had it running like it was brand new. My wife absolutley loves it, which is great as she hates all my other 4X4s. She took it immediatly to her friends place in town, which was funny all on its own as we live out of town, about 20kms, and its near winter here. I look forward to conversing with everyone and learning all I can about my beautiful new truck. I'll include a couple pictures of the Aro and the other trucks I have.
Here is my '94 Chev S10 that I put 1ton axles under a 350V8 in.
Here is my '79 Ford F250, I gave it a 24" lift 53" tires and turbo'd the 300c.i inline six cylinder

I'm in a big witch hunt trying to track down the history of this 461, Its proving difficult. Will be nice to know when and where its switched hands over its life.

Very impressive, Corblund
Till now, none M461 have been located in Canada, although they are all over the world, particularly in South America, Europe, Asia and North of Africa.
If you want to know more about it, please read the topic "Aro Revoltuion" and follow the link below

Re: Hello from Canada
Thanks everyone,
I've read nearly all the info that the internet has to offer on the 461. I feel like after all the reading I've done and all the work I've done on the truck itself I know it almost inside and out. Now my focus will be to restore it to its former glory and find out where all its been and whos owned it.
