Well done for the work you have achieved. In my opion the tyres should be 255/75/15,a good quality mud terrain tyres.Bigger tyres=fast wear on steering and suspension parts.Try to prepare the body with some rost bremsen(from ningrin) and then apply a good underbody paint. :)>-
Our friend Dan Popescu will leave in a trip starting from bucharest to Magadan in a few time,so watch his pictures which will be made during the trip.
You are going in the summer or in the winter?

I want to have in summer and winter a good ground clearance. Travel plan in the summer and winter. Of course, if you do not get the "recipe" for a painless installation of 33'' wheels, then I will install 31''.

Has anyone already done that?

Here, for example ...

P.S.
Sometimes you have to go another way. ;D

I already shown you what those wheels did to the front suspension (in the youtube video), and that Aro received a rigid front axle the next year, an axle from a Rocar TV 4x4 mini-bus (almost the same with the axle from Aro M461). But to be on the safe side, I will recomend a pair of axles from Nissan Patrol, since those are easier to find than Aro axles.

Thank you. What do you think, is about double spare wheels on the rear bumper of the force?

Friends give virtually free Nissan Patrol Y60. Have an idea to remove him from the bridges and stuff and put on my ARO. What do you think about it?

Best ideea so far ;D That's what I was trying to convince you. With the Patrol axles you can use 33"x12,5 tires easy. See if you can use the steering box also.

Yes, it's a chic option! O0
These parts, at Y60, very strong and reliable.
Interfacing with cardan shafts would not be difficult.
Dependent spring suspension, with a huge swing, it's as by recipe! ;D
Steering Gear Patrol and ARO have the same rotation (if I remember correctly) 8)
The main thing - if necessary, make the legality of this alteration, otherwise this beauty will not be able leaving garage. :-@
Good luck!
p.s. spare wheel on the roof - is not practical. I also want place the spare wheel on the rear bumper.
p.p.s. nice TLC 70. I love the square sturdy cars. It was the longlife devices. Now such not building. >:(

If we accept that the Czech economy is relatively similar to the portuguese, I would consider € 400 for a Patrol Y60 as a bargain-sale, even without the engine.

Here's one, not expensive, for sale, near my house, for over € 7,000.

However, for those who like classics, like I do, the only “Nissan” that really matters is the 4W60, first generation, similar to the Willys. After that, only the M461...
A lenda vive...!!!
