Ramiro please tell me, what about Bucegi and Karpat trucks in Romania? Are they cheap to buy, or unavailable, or nobody is interested in it? I know one Karpat truck in Czech Rep. for sale for reasonable money, I wondered what is the market price of this car in Romania.

It depends of the condition, but the price isn't expensive, considering the possibility of selling it in Czech Republic. Anyway is a beautiful truck!!...

Thank you for information. There is not many of them in Czech rep., but price is about the same. Depends on shape.

For today I found pictures of silver 330. It came from Romania like this:



And like many others, it was converted to utility high-lift vehicle. We exported lot of INREKA high-lift plattforms to Romania. This silver high-lift platform is the last one before Campulung factory stopped production. At the pictures there are no fenders yet.

have u done any kind of modifications to the cars?

On suspension or braking sistems?

We have done, but not to every car sold. To be honest, 99% of the cars was stock, only equipped with Andoria or later VM motori engines. From 2003, we used different brake boosters. When somebody wanted to lift his ARO, we have done it, but it was only very few cases. Reason was that if customer would done any modification to his new ARO, he would lose his warranty. It is very hard to hold warranty to custom cars. We have done many modifications at our race AROs, but it was usually just swap for different component from different vehicles, Toyotas, etc.

Because I do not have many pictures of AROs in my computer anymore, I decided to scan something from AUTO MAX history. I hope I will be able to post single foto every day or two. At least I will digitalize our archives..

Here is the first picture of "vehicle stock", when AUTO MAX used to sell L25 powered AROs. About 4500 units was sold in Czechoslovakia by AUTO MAX till 2000.

The 330 in silver, has Andoria engine? And disc brakes?

The modification of the 330 silver is interesting, but sell 4.500 units of Aros in stock till 2000 is truly impressive.
Do you have pictures of Auto Max race Aros ?

I think, in Czeh Republic are the most ARO in Europe! But the picture whit this many ARO 243, I think it is made at Câmpulung. It was a seies of ARO which was refuzed from one export country.

Werner: Yes, 330 is I think year 2004, Andoria 4CTi90 75 kw, disc brakes. Regarding this full stock of AROs, these cars came from Romania on train and then we sold every one of it. These are all L25 powered of course.

There was different time back then, life standard rised, people of Czech Rep. started to have some money and buying power was big. All people at the mountain areas bought AROs, because it was very cheap in comparsion with competitors. Every family could afford their own offroad car for winters. Later we sold hundreds of Turbodiesel AROs, but no such a success.

All just ARO 243??? In Czeh Republic they sold so much 243?

243 was a great model - very versatile, and useful.

Werner: these pictures are from years, when other models did not existed, except 330 and perhaps early 244. These years (1990 - 1999) we were selling AROs without homologation, because L25 was impossible to pass pollution tests. The only legal way was to register vehicles at old vehicle licences by body swapping. Czech law gives you possibility to change body of your car, which means you will have to change VIN number. In result changing body means changing complete vehicle. So we scrapped old rusty and not driveable AROs 240 and instead we gave to the customer brand new ARO 243. Here you can see how old AROs ended their lives back then. Today, each of these vehicles could be sold for spare parts or even restored and sold, but back then, it was different time..
